The Red Dragons suffered a 3-1 defeat in the first ‘Hollywood Derby’ of the season at St Andrew’s. Jack Marriott grabbed the opening goal in that contest, but big-spending Birmingham came roaring back to claim the spoils.

NFL legend Brady, who is now a Blues investor and member of their board, was joined in the stands by Manchester United icon and Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham. Wrexham co-chairman McElhenney also crossed the Atlantic in order to witness an eagerly-anticipated encounter.

Wrexham were left disappointed with their overall performance in the West Midlands, but will get the opportunity to exact revenge when Birmingham visit North Wales in January. Ahead of that game, McClean has told a live hosting of : “That was just the warm up! We owe them one, and we'll get them back at our place!”

McElhenney will likely be back in the UK for that fixture, potentially with Reynolds alongside him. Wrexham will hope to still be in the promotion mix by then, with Phil Parkinson’s side currently perched at the League One summit – with 16 points collected from seven games.
