Per , Manchester United officials have held face-to-face talks with Delap over the English striker's possible move to Old Trafford in the summer. Ipswich allowed their star forward to travel to Manchester to get a first-hand experience of the club he could join ahead of the 2025-26 season.

The Red Devils are confident of signing Delap, although they will face fierce competition from Chelsea. The 22-year-old striker has a £30 million ($40m) release clause in his contract, which is now active after Ipswich's relegation from the Premier League was confirmed.
