Fabregas has shown interest in Morata and wants to bring him to the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia in a move to strengthen his front line. As per in Italy, Morata has greenlit the move, but the Italian club will have to resolve a few issues with AC Milan and Galatasaray before the Spain international can join the ranks at Como.

Morata joined Galatasaray on loan from Milan in the January transfer window and is tied to the Turkish side until next winter. For Morata to join Fabregas at Como, the Italian club will have to end his loan and negotiate a possible deal with Milan. Fabregas and Morata also discussed the move, during which the ex-Chelsea striker showed some positive interest.

Patrick Cutrone and Assane Diao were at the pinnacle of Como's frontline in the previous campaign. Diao, who joined in the winter transfer window, has settled in well as a promising prospect, having scored eight goals and provided one assist in 15 games. However, Fabregas wants to bring in someone who has experience and maturity, and Morata's profile meets all the requirements. The Spanish coach is confident in Morata, having played with him at Chelsea and with the Spanish national team.

Como have announced the fixtures for their inaugural Como Cup, which is part of The Football on the Lake Festival. Como are set to face Saudi side Al-Ahli on July 23 to kick off their pre-season campaign.
