Mbappe scored all of Madrid's goals in a 3-0 win over Real Valladolid on Saturday, meaning he has found the net on five occasions in his last two La Liga games. Ahead of their midweek trip to Brest, manager Roy quipped the 26-year-old wasn't much of a threat.

"Kylian is not in great shape, it's okay," he joked in front of reporters. "I don't know if there is a Real match that comes at the right time, because I have the impression that they are in great shape, but in any case it comes at a time when we are a little better in the championship. In any case it is a match that will be very, very easy to prepare, even if on a technical-tactical level there will be things to analyze and transmit to the players. But on the commitment, the determination, the enthusiasm, all that, I think we will have to calm them down more than motivate them."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mbappe is now the second-highest scorer in La Liga with 15 goals this season; meaning he is only behind Robert Lewandowski's 16. The ex-Paris Saint-Germain star says there is more to come from him and Madrid will hope he can deliver in their crunch match at Brest as they look to avoid the UCL play-offs.
