Manchester City are reportedly keen on signing Wolves star Rayan Ait-Nouri as the club tries to freshen up their squad.

The Athletic states that City are pursuing a deal for the left-back, who can also play as a left midfielder or wing-back. The report adds that while agreements haven't been struck yet over a transfer, all parties 'expect' a move to happen.

The 23-year-old, who has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United in the past, could be the latest piece in City's latest rebuild under manager Pep Guardiola. After splashing out £180 million ($223m) in January on signings, more big moves are expected this summer as City try and regain their Premier League dominance.

Ait-Nouri has made 157 appearances for Wolves since joining from Angers, initially on loan, in 2020. This season, he scored five goals and added seven assists in 41 games in all competitions as his side finished 16th in the Premier League.
